Nigerian singer Mayorkun recently revealed that his former label boss, Davido, was crucial in helping him secure a deal with Sony Music Africa after leaving Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
Mayorkun, who joined DMW in 2016 and departed in 2021, addressed speculation about a rift between them in an interview with 3Music TV. He clarified that Davido’s support was instrumental in landing his new record deal, stating, “Aside from having my label, right now I am also with Sony Africa. Shout out to Davido for that as well; he facilitated the deal.”
